We had a great day with Tracey learning how to be safe in the water with a life jacket. We learnt how 'tight is right!' To have our jacket snug and tight to help keep us safe. We also learnt how to huddle together and kick in a line.
We can't wait until tomorrow when Beth comes in to follow on with our water safety learning.

  1. Morena team,
It is so important that you are learning to be safe in the water. It is great to see y you all practicing wearing life jackets and feeling comfortable letting your life jacket hold you up. We are lucky to live in Northland with so many great beaches, an important reason for us to learn about water safety. I hope you'll all go home and share what you learnt with your whānau.

  5. Hi Room 5 and 6
Thanks for sharing your swimming video with us. It looks like lots of fun. We don't have a pool and won't be swimming this year, but we did water safety last year, which was awesome!
Is the pool at your school?

    Kind Regards
