Watch Me!

Our shared book this week is called 'Watch me'.  It is about the life cycle of the frog, so we have been doing lots of work on this.

On Wednesday we had about 13 new class members too!!!   We are so excited to be able to take care of them, and see them go through their metamorphosis.

Some activities we have completed include:
  • Discussing and presenting the Frog life cycle.
  • Reading and researching different books on Frogs.
  • Labeling parts of Frogs.
  • Singing songs about Frogs

  1. Hello Room 5 & 6. I look forward to checking out your tadpoles this afternoon. How often do you need to feed them? Do you have names for them yet? From Nicola (Kate's mum)

    1. Hi Nicola! We feed the tadpoles once a day. Only a little pinch of fish food. They are all called Tadpole Tim because they all look the same.

    1. Cody brought a fully grown frog to visit our class. Vincent said it looked big, green, and stripy like a leaf! Cruz said it was super green. Taylor thought it looked like a big green worm. Frank used words like camouflaged in his writing.

    1. Does Miss Ritchie have a photo of the frog in her toilet? Frank is wanting to find out about what colours frogs can be. We also got to have tadpoles in jars on our tables to write about. We are just finishing off our publishing to go up on our wall and to put on our blog too. Watch this space.
